Introducing Forship's principal executives:  

Fabio Fares

President & CEO

Founder of Forship Group, he has 35 years of experience in engineering and undertakings. Naval Engineer, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1978, with Postgraduate Studies in Computing Systems Engineering (from COPPE-UFRJ). He began his career at Lloyd Brasileiro in 1976, working in shipyards and at the engineering directorate of the Brazilian Navy (Diretoria de Engenharia Naval – DEN). As an entrepreneur, he has also been founder and director of Projenav and ECR Ship companies.


Roberto Rocha

Vice President of Mining & Industrial Projects

Mechanical Engineer with Postgraduate Studies in Systems Analysis, extension studies and traineeship in Japan by AOTS/IHI, as well as MBA in Project Management, from FGV/University of Ohio - USA. He joined Forship shortly after its foundation in 1998, as Operations Manager of the commissioning teams for contracts related to Petrobras oil & gas platforms. In 2000, as Production Director, he managed the Production, Procurement and Logistics areas. For 17 years he worked at Ishibras (Ishikawajima shipyards in Brazil), in the naval design department and as leader of the pipe fabrication and testing area. From 2005 to 2006, at Vetco Aibel, he worked as Operations Manager. Returned to Forship in December 2006. Served as Executive Director from 2011/2012 and currently holds the position of Vice President of  Mining and Industrial Projects in Brazil and Country Director in Mozambique.


Marco Fares

Vice President of Energy

Electrical Engineer, from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) in 1979, with MBA in Business Management and Finances, from IBMEC, and extensive experience in management. He works at Forship Group since 2000; and has worked in power generation & distribution, civil construction, and oil & gas companies as well as consultancy area. At Forship, he is the Project Director and head of Forship office at the Northeast region (Brazil). The commissioning of thermal power plants, such as Ibirité, Termopernambuco and Luis Carlos Prestes, Petrobras PRA-1 repumping platform, Suape Petrochemical, as well as the Operation & Maintenance of UTE Termoaçu are some of the projects directed by Marco Fares.


Antonio Prates

Vice President of Consultancy Services

Naval Architect / Marine Engineer, graduated in 1978 from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), and Master in Computer Science from PUC-Rio. Before joining Forship Group, Antonio has worked in the shipbuilding (Emaq and Verolme shipyards), engineering (Engevix, Promon Engenharia and Promon Eletrônica), telecommunications (Amdocs), and internet development (Bowne Global Solutions) markets. In Forship since 2002, he has implemented the corporate IT and QHSE Master Plans, and was responsible for the Engineering and Project Management Departments. Currently responsible for the Consultancy Services Business Unit, coordinates Forship business in commissioning consultancy, regulatory support, owner’s engineering and bank’s engineering.


Claudia Barroso

Administrative and Finance Director

She is responsible for managing the Controllership, Accounting, Financial, Administrative, and Human Resources areas; and is working at Forship since 2007. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, from Cândido Mendes, and over 20 years of experience. The executive was managing director at Gestetner do Brasil S/A, Product Manager at Presta Administradora de Cartões de Crédito S/A, and Import Supervisor at Brasif Electronics S/A.


Luciano Gaete

Executive Director of HMSWeb Tecnologia da Informação Ltda.

Master in Business Administration, from FGV-Ebape, with Bachelor’s Degree in Data Processing, Postgraduate Studies in Corporate Finances, from PUC, and MBA in Telecommunications Management, from FGV-Epge. He has 17 years of experience in IT. At Forship Group, he worked as IT Manager from January 2003 to 2011, and since 2007 he is the Executive Director of HMSWeb TI Ltda., the technology company of Forship Group which is responsible for developing IT solutions for management and control of engineering projects. He has also worked as Infrastructure Coordinator at Amdocs (Brazil), and was responsible for deploying the Billing and CRM systems for Claro (mobile phone service company), as well as at IT area of Bozano Simonsen Bank, Medusa (industrial automation), and IBM.


Rodrigo Coura

CEO – Forship Ásia

Having a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), over the last nine years Coura has provided engineering, project management and technical consulting to owners, builders and financial institutions. He has played significant roles in the design, construction, installation and operation phases for the performance, management and implementation of complex industrial facilities as part of major engineering projects both in Brazil and abroad. He is also responsible for the coordination of commissioning and development activities in power generation plant projects. He currently holds the position of Forship Asia's Executive Director.


Marco A. Kronemberger

Deployment Manager

Electrical Engineer, from the Catholic University of Petrópolis (UCP), with over 30-year professional experience in the Industrial, Telecom, and Oil & Gas areas; currently in the Mining area working in activities of design, construction, maintenance and commissioning for several projects with emphasis in electrical engineering and telecommunications. He joined Forship in 2004, as Coordinator of Commissioning for the electrical discipline, working directly with the field teams. As Discipline Coordinator, he participated in the development of the commissioning and maintenance procedures related to the electrical, instrumentation and telecommunications disciplines. As Engineering Manager, he coordinated engineer and technician teams for the development of commissioning documents (P-50, PRA-1 and P-54), focusing on improving the team productivity, and participated in the development and implementation of the commissioning methodology of Braskem. As Project Manager, he coordinated the Operability Certification of P-53 and the development of Commissioning Methodology of E&P in order to improve the levels of operability of the new Petrobras offshore units. In the mining area, he managed the commissioning management contracts of the CLN 150 Mtpa program, involving the facilities for Railway and Waterway Terminal at Ponta da Madeira and the Carajás Railway – from Vale. Currently, as Deployment Manager, he is responsible for the implementation and integration of the commissioning management and execution contracts in this area.


Antonio Pedruzzi

Deployment Coordinator

Electrical Engineer, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Before joining Forship Group, in 2002, he had already accumulated 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and 15 years of experience in commissioning engineering, coordination and management, as well as operation and maintenance of thermal coal units at Eletrosul. He is currently responsible for the Implementation of projects in the Power Generation area of Forship Engenharia.
